The Rundown: Wanda learns the truth about her new apprentice and must use that truth to free her.

After discovering a dangerous artifact in Wanda’s vault, Amaranth takes hold of it and it begins to destroy her and the vault itself. While Wanda deals with the Black Cat, she turns her attention to Amaranth and attempts to free her from the grip of the artifact she found.
With the life of the young woman on the line, Wanda must enter the very essence of Amaranth to discover the truth of who and what she is. A journey that will bring her face to face with titans of magic and chaos and the pact they made that produced a child. A child who will need to discover the truth about herself if she has any chance at survival.
The Story: Orlando does a great job of bringing all of the story elements that have been created throughout this series to a head and resolving them in a satisfactory and compelling way. The story continues to elevate the character of the Scarlet Witch in new and interesting ways and the only regret I have as a reader is that this series is coming to an end, but I look forward to seeing where Orlando takes Wanda next.
The Art: The art is beautifully detailed and visually sublime. I love feeling like I am truly in another world when I am immersed in the story and the art brilliantly does that.
